Petition Rally Gets Results! You folks were amazing! With only two hours lead time, we contacted those of you with e-mails and made a few calls – and within two hours FORTY of you (along with others) were at Jackie Walorski’s press conference announcing a petition drive asking Indiana to appeal the Obama healthcare bill.
Then hundreds of you signed petitions and encouraged others to get online to sign.
Result: Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller announced that an amended lawsuit will be filed in federal court with Indiana joining 13 other states! INDIANA WILL FIGHT! |

Common Sense SURVEY RESULTS
Results:
1. Should we amend the State Constitution to cap property taxes at 1-2-3 levels? Yes - 35% No - 52% Not Sure - 13% (Comments: Something is better than nothing; We need to go after spending not taxes; This still doesn’t address reassessment; Doesn’t belong in the Constitution)
2. Should we eliminate township governments? Yes - 8% No - 88% Not Sure - 4% (Comments: This is our most grassroots form of government; Who wants the county running our fire departments?; This needs to be decided township by township on the ballot)
3. Should Citizens for Common Sense endorse a candidate for Congressional District 2? Jackie Walorski - 63% Jack Jordan - 0% Joe Donnelly - 7%* Do not do an endorsement - 30%
* tallied before the healthcare vote
Therefore, even though Citizens for Common Sense historically does not do endorsements, because it was expressed by our supporters by a 2:1 margin that we have a once-in-a-decade candidate who shares our views and fights side by side with us, we hereby endorse Jackie Walorski for Congress
Jackie’s stood with us, so WE STAND WITH JACKIE! |
